🚣‍♂️ Idaho State Law requires all children 14 and under to wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejacket (PFD) anytime they are on the water. ✅ Our Policy: We require ALL guests and guides to wear a properly fitted lifejacket at all times while on the river—regardless of age, swimming ability, or river conditions. Why Are PFDs So Important? A properly fitted whitewater PFD can be the difference between a fun swim that’s the highlight of your trip or a scary situation. 💦 PFDs keep you floating high, greatly reducing risks. Even strong swimmers can struggle in swift currents, but a high-buoyancy whitewater-specific PFD keeps your head above water and helps you safely navigate back to the raft. ⚠️ Unlike lakes or calm waters, whitewater has waves and currents that require specialized flotation gear—which is why we provide top-quality whitewater-specific PFDs for all guests. Can I Bring My Own Lifejacket? Short answer: No… but maybe. 🚫 Water ski or recreational life jackets WILL NOT work. These are: ❌ Not designed for whitewater ❌ Lack proper buoyancy for swift currents ❌ Break easily under stress ❌ Come off too easily during rescues ✅ If you have a whitewater-specific PFD, feel free to bring it along—our guides will inspect it to ensure it meets safety standards before allowing its use. Safety is our top priority, and we want to make sure everyone has the best gear for a safe and fun adventure!

There is no cell service on multi-day river trips. Our guides can check messages from our office daily with emergency satellite communication. Reach out to our office and we can relay messages.

💰 Payment Terms: A 20% deposit is due at the time of booking. The final balance is due 7 days before trip departure. 🚫 Refund Policy: Deposits and final payments are NON-refundable. However, payments can be transferred to another guest if we receive notice at least 14 days before the trip. 🔄 Rescheduling & Flexibility: We understand that plans change! We’re happy to work with your group’s needs and can often reschedule your trip or help find others to take your spot. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For Large Youth Groups & Family Reunions (30+ People): We know head counts are a moving target—put down your 20% deposit based on an estimated group size. Final head count must be confirmed at least one week before the trip. We can easily add capacity up to 48 hours before your trip.

We don't allow dogs. If you have a well trained dog that is already comfortable with a moving raft in whitewater, reach out and we may make an exception on small chartered trips. The dog must have a PFD.

Our guides monitor weather and river levels constantly to ensure your safety and provide the best experience possible. Here’s how we handle cancellations: If the river is too high: We will reschedule your trip or offer a refund. If the river is too low: Idaho is blessed with reliable water flows. The Salmon River bottoms out around 3,000 CFS even in late summer—still more water than many rafting rivers across the country! Plus, the Hagerman section of the Snake River offers steady flows year-round. If unsafe weather conditions occur (e.g., extreme flooding, area closure due to wildfire, etc): We will cancel the trip and provide the option to reschedule. Rafting trips run rain or shine, so a little rain won’t stop the fun! Most groups choose to keep their deposit with us, and we prioritize fitting your group into our busy schedule.

Tipping is completely optional, but we’re often asked what’s considered a good tip. ✅ Industry standard: 10–20% of your party’s total fare. ✅ Not sure about a percentage? No worries—follow your heart! Our guides work hard and truly appreciate any generosity. ✅ Best ways to tip: Cash or Venmo are great options. How Are Tips Distributed? Tips are typically given to the lead guides, who distribute them evenly among the team. If you had an amazing trip, a tip is a great way to thank your guides for their hard work! 🎉🚣‍♀️🔥

Yes. All guests are required to complete and sign a liability waiver prior to participating in any rafting trip. Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers must be completed before the trip can begin.
