We provide clean, dialed-in rafts and gear for experienced private boaters running:

• Middle Fork of the Salmon

• Main Salmon

• Lower Salmon

• Hells Canyon

• Select Idaho day stretches

If you know how to row and manage whitewater, we make the gear easy.

If you don’t, book a guided trip instead.

Choose Your Boat Size

Here’s how most groups size their boats:

9.5 ft Raft

  • Best for: Solo rower

  • Small, nimble, lightweight setup.

12 ft & 13 ft Center Frame Rafts

  • Best for: 1 rower + 1 passenger

  • Or 1 rower + 2 small passengers

  • Great for lighter loads and smaller rivers.

14 ft Rafts (Paddle or Center Frame)

  • Best for: 1 rower + 2 passengers

  • Balanced option for smaller multi-day trips.

16 ft Center Frame Raft (Most Popular)

  • Best for: 1 rower + 2–4 passengers

  • This is the standard multi-day gear boat for most private groups.

  • Stable. Forgiving. Carries weight well.

If you’re unsure what to rent, this is usually it.

18 ft Center Frame Gear Raft

  • Best for: Larger loads or bigger expeditions

  • Designed for heavy gear and extended trips.

  • Heavy and requires more experience.

All rafts are AIRE self-bailing rafts built for whitewater durability and performance.

Large Group Outfitting (16–30 People)

Full expedition outfitting is designed for large, experienced private groups only.

If you are planning a fully self-supported multi-day expedition and need:

Boats. Dry boxes. Kitchen boxes. Groovers. Tables. Firepans. Blasters. Stoves. Propane. Coolers. Dry bags. Paco pads. Food coordination. Delivery. Pickup.

Understand what that really means.

A properly outfitted multi-day river trip requires over 275 individual gear and logistics items before food and personal gear is even added. That includes safety systems, repair kits, sanitation systems, cooking equipment, frame rigging, spare parts, transport coordination, and permit compliance.

Most groups reach out thinking they need “boats, food, and coolers.”

In reality, a backcountry expedition is a full logistical operation.

When groups begin adding everything required to safely and legally run a multi-day trip, rental costs rise quickly. At that scale, you are also managing:

• Menu planning and food packing

• Dietary restrictions

• Cold storage and ice rotation

• Cooking systems

• River navigation

• Safety response

• Waste systems

• Group coordination

• Contingency planning

We do not recommend full expedition rentals for small groups of 3–12 people. The cost is typically disproportionate, and most small groups are better served by simplified rentals or booking a guided trip.

Many private groups underestimate the scale of a fully self-supported river expedition and end up scrambling for additional gear days before launch.

During peak season, add-on equipment is often unavailable.

We can provide full expedition outfitting. However, understand that comprehensive multi-day rentals typically range as high as $12,000 to $18,000 depending on trip length, river section, and delivery logistics.

At that level, many experienced groups choose a different path.

Why Many Experienced Groups Switch

When you book a commercial multi-day trip with us:

• We handle all gear and rigging

• We manage safety and river navigation

• We coordinate meals, food packing, and cleanup

• We provide inflatable kayaks

• Hard-shell kayaks are welcome

• Experienced “row your own” boaters are welcome

Save days of prep, shopping, packing, and post-trip cleanup.

You still get freedom, autonomy, and real whitewater adventure without the logistical burden.

Often for similar or less cost than fully self-outfitting.

Many experienced groups switch and never go back.
