Youth Rafting: Inspiring the Next Generation of Adventurers
Rooted in Mentorship & Adventure
Adventure Idaho was born from the riverbanks of Idaho’s wild country.
Our founder, Alan Davis, began rafting as a teenager, developing an early love for the outdoors, teamwork, and leadership.
For decades, Alan and his boys led Boy Scout groups down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, helping hundreds of youth discover the thrill of Idaho’s rivers and the power of outdoor adventure. That tradition continues today through our lasting partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, now known as Scouting America — inspiring the next generation of adventurers, leaders, and stewards of the wild.
As demand grew for affordable, high-quality youth rafting adventures, Adventure Idaho evolved into one of the most trusted names in youth and family rafting across the Northwest.
While prices for remote wilderness rafting trips have climbed steeply in recent years, we’ve remained committed to one thing — keeping these faith-centered, life-changing outdoor experiences accessible to the rising generation.
Because nothing transforms youth like time in nature — where faith, mentorship, and adventure meet.

Our Philosophy: Growth Through Adventure
We believe rivers are more than just rapids — they’re classrooms, communities, and catalysts for growth.
Each Adventure Idaho youth rafting experience focuses on:
-
Building Leadership: Youth learn teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
-
Fostering Faith & Reflection: The quiet of the canyon inspires gratitude, humility, and spiritual awareness.
-
Mentorship in Motion: Our guides act as role models — strong in skill, faith, and character.
-
Hands-On Learning: Campfire discussions, river history, and Leave No Trace lessons make every trip a living classroom.

Faith, Mentorship & the Rising Generation
Faith and mentorship are the heart of our company culture.
Many of our guides began as youth participants themselves — inspired by mentors who modeled leadership and clean living. Today, they carry that legacy forward, mentoring the next generation through faith, friendship, and example.
We’ve seen youth form lifelong friendships, gain self-confidence, and rediscover faith through time on the river.
Whether it’s a fireside under the stars, a devotional on the sand, or laughter echoing down the canyon — these are the moments that last forever.
LDS Youth Rafting & Faith-Based Adventures
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a long history of outdoor adventure through Scouting and High Adventure programs — and we’ve proudly continued that legacy.
Our LDS youth rafting trips are designed with faith, affordability, and inclusivity in mind.
We specialize in combined Young Men and Young Women camps, youth conferences, high adventures, girls camps, and YSA activities that fit church budgets and allow for plenty of time for devotionals, firesides, and reflection.
Many of our guides share faith-centered values and come from various backgrounds — maintaining clean language, positive mentorship, and respect for all beliefs. They’re always willing to assist with camp activities, devotionals, or simply make sure everyone feels welcome.
We’ve also proudly partnered with:
-
Mountain West Council, Scouting America — continuing a decades-long tradition of safe, inspiring youth adventures.
-
Eagle Nazarene Church (Boise, ID) — bringing junior and senior youth groups on life-changing Salmon River adventures.
-
Various churches and faith-based schools from across the U.S., all seeking the same goal: to help youth grow stronger, braver, and closer to God through wild places.
